Michael Jacobs is the Managing Director of Tutum Bird & Pest Management Ltd. 

Starting his career in the commercial insurance sector, Michael spent over 15 years as a Senior Global Property Underwriter in the City of London, moving on to become an Environmental Markets Consultant for a company specialising in assisting commercial organisations in achieving their net-zero targets. 

Having worked in various client facing roles over the years, Michael realised that he was driven by a passion for safeguarding in two key areas – environment and property – and wanted to find a way to combine the two within one role. 

More recently, working within the bird and pest control sector, he discovered a way to make that a reality and has now taken the leap to achieve his long-held dream of starting his own business. He brings to the table a deep understanding of both the technical and strategic aspects of bird and pest management and is known for his innovative approach to pest control, focusing on sustainable and environmentally friendly practices.

In all his previous roles and now, his own company, Michael’s commitment to customer satisfaction and ethical practices has built a strong, loyal client base across London and the Home Counties. 

Looking to the future, Michael is a qualified mentor and looks forward to achieving another goal that is close to his heart – that of giving employment opportunities to individuals who come from less advantaged backgrounds - and he is actively laying the foundations for this to become a reality.
